What does Additional Disk Space and Additional Bandwidth Mean?
Private label web hosting plans are designed for clients that have
multiple websites. These hosting plans are purchased in blocks of
"Domains" that allow you to set up each website in it's own environment,
and are set up in a way that gives you administrative control over all of
your websites - adding sites, suspending sites, upgrading and downgrading
them is all accomplished with your reseller control panel.
Our reseller web hosting plans are set up to be "Private Label" which
means that to all but the most sophisticated customers, we will be
completely transparent. We will never contact your customers, and
you will appear to them as if you were the web hosting company
This form of hosting is also commonly referred to as a "Virtual Server"
or "Bulk Hosting" because you purchase a set number of domains hosting
accounts, or a set amount of disk space and bandwidth, and can manage it
yourself without the assistance of an administrator. This gives you
most of the control you would have if you had your own "Dedicated Server"
without the high setup fees, and ongoing costs of maintaining your own
equipment.
Each Reseller's virtual server account has to have a "Master" domain.
This is the website that is tied to the reseller's control panel, SSL
certificate, and name servers. This will be the domain that your
customer's see as they interact with you. Most resellers set this
domain up as their web hosting company's main domain. As a service
to our resellers, we do not charge you for your master domain, only for
the sites you re-sell.
Re-Sold domains are the websites that you sell to your customers.
These sites are set up within your reseller control panel, and have all of
the features that our Unix Web Hosting
packages have: Cpanel, SSL, Shopping Carts,
Bulletin Boards, Pre-Installed CGI's etc...
Our Basic Virtual Server packages
have a set number of Re-Sold Domains, which means that you can set up as
many sites under your master domain as your package allows. If you
purchase the RS1K plan you will have 1 Master Domain and 10 Re-Sold
Domains you have a total of 11 domains that you may use yourself or sell
to your customers. Your re-sold domains can be any combination of
our Starter, Standard, or Xtra Unix web
hosting plans.
Our Advanced Virtual Server packages
have a set limit of disk space and bandwidth which means that you can set
up as many sites under your master domain as your package allows. If
you purchase the RS4K plan You will have 1 Master Domain and 4 Gigabytes
of disk space and 10 Gigabytes of Bandwidth. This disk space and
bandwidth can be provisioned into an unlimited number of re-sold domains
that you may use yourself or sell to your customers, until your space and
transfer limits are reached.
The cost per domain is calculated by taking the monthly charge and
dividing it by the number of re-sold domains. For example with the
RS1K: $45 Monthly / 10 Re-Sold Domains =
$4.50 Cost per Domain. You may re-sell each domain hosting account
to your customers at any price you choose.
Front Page Extensions are server side programs that must be installed
in order for customers to be able to use Microsoft Front Page to manage
their websites. Every website you host with us whether it's a master
domain or a re-sold domain will have access to the most current version
released by Microsoft.
The Reseller Guide is a manual that we have written that is designed to
give you practical advice and ideas on how to design, market, and run your
web hosting business. It is available for free
here.
Each Master domain and re-sold domain will have all of the features of
our Unix Hosting plans as well as

You may choose to purchase your own SSL certificate and provide it as a
"shared" SSL cert for your customers or use our unbranded certificate for
free. If you choose a private label SSL certificate, it is one more
feature that keeps us in the background, and helps you provide quality
services to your customers.
Your private label SSL certificate may be installed by you from within
your reseller control panel, or can be installed by us for a one time
setup fee.
When a customer signs up for web hosting service with you, you have to
provide him with DNS name servers in order to point his site at your
virtual server.
DNS name servers commonly take this format:
Primary name server: NS.TBhost.com
Secondary name server: NS2.TBhost.com
With unbranded name servers there is no mention of TBhost.com and with
Private Label name servers the primary and secondary name servers will be
the same as your master domain.
You are free to charge your customers any price you wish for the web
hosting services that you sell them. You don't have to use the
prices that we charge for our web hosting accounts as your basis, although
you are free to do so. This means that you may add value to your
services and increase your income as much as you like.
With our Advanced Virtual Servers you purchase a block of disk space
and data transfer (bandwidth) when you reach the limits of your account,
you may purchase additional disk space and bandwidth so that you can add
additional customers, or simply upgrade to the next higher plan.
