Our General Recommendation -
If you don't have a specific need for a feature that is only available in
a Windows 2000 web hosting plan, such as Active Server Pages, or Cold
Fusion, you should probably choose Unix. The majority of our
customers, as well as the majority of the internet itself, host on Unix.
Unix web hosting offers the greatest level of reliability, customizability,
and compatibility for your website. There are many low cost or even
free programs that you can run on your website if it's hosted on Unix.
Most of the programs that are available for Unix will not run on Windows.
However, Windows may be better for you if you have programmers on staff that
are familiar with programming in Visual Basic.
Whichever web hosting technology you choose, rest assured that your
website will be on a well supported, stable server that is monitored 24
hours a day to ensure that your website is always available.
